River tube rentals have ended for the 2020 season due to low water levels. Inflatable tubes are available for purchase and use on your own. River access from our location is available to customers.
Virgin River Tubing Rentals are only available May through July while river conditions are appropriate for the activity. Specific start and end dates vary year to year depending on the flow rate. All tubes are rented on a first-come-first-serve basis. No advance reservations available. For tubing season updates CLICK HERE

Rental Cost: $20

Length of Activity: 2 hours (dependant on river flow)

Rental Times: Any time from 11am to 4pm daily during tubing season. First-come, first-serve only. No reservations available.

Groups: Tubing is a great activity for youth groups! If your party is 15 people or more please email info@zionoutfitter.com

Age Limit: 12 years old and up. This is for your child’s safety!

Tube Details: All river tubes are equipped with a protective canvas cover and two handles. Only 1 person per tube. Single tubes only.

Difficulty: The Virgin River is NOT a lazy river float and requires participants to be in relatively good physical condition. The river is shallow and rocky, requiring tubers to get in and out of their tube frequently to avoid rocks. Most groups have a great time but the activity is not recommended for everyone.

Safety Precautions: All participants must wear closed toe shoes! There are many rocks and plants that can cut or bruise your feet. Life jackets are available to rent for $4. Most groups do not use life jackets since there are very few spots where water depth is greater than knee deep.

What to Bring: Everything you take with you will be soaked! Tubes frequently flip over and the bottom does fill with water. Waterproof options for phones/cameras are available to purchase at the shop. Lockers are available to rent for $5.

About the Activity: Tubing the Virgin River is a great way to cool off during the hot summer afternoons in Zion! Tubes can be rented right at Zion Outfitter where the 2 mile float begins. The river meanders through the tall, shady cottonwood trees and the towering sandstone cliffs above. Enjoy some relaxing sections mixed with plenty of rocky sections with rapids! This is adventure tubing! As you near the end of your float you’ll notice 2 bridges with signs indicating the exit point at the Springdale Park. A large gravel pit is available at the tubing exit for tubes to be left. From the park it is a short walk to the nearest free shuttle stop which will bring you back to our shop or on to your next adventure.
